Company History

Auger was established in 1994 following the advent of 'Project Managed Subsidence Claims', to provide a comprehensive single source site and drainage investigation service, designed to meet the insurance industry's specific requirements when handling subsidence claims.  Auger is unique amongst its competitors in that we are a professional investigation consultancy which has evolved from an engineering background and not a contractor or franchise.

Having obtained a first class reputation within the subsidence insurance field, Auger has successfully expanded its products to now include specialist investigations into damage to underground drainage services.

Nationwide Coverage

The company operates from their head office in Wallasey, Wirral and from centrally controlled regional offices in Leeds, Crawley, Cambridge, Birmingham and Bristol which ensures a comprehensive service is provided nationwide.

At Auger, we recruit only highly motivated engineers and technicians who work in a team environment.  Our site technicians are all trained to WRc standard, the highest qualification for drainage investigation.  We ensure that all technical staff under-go rigorous in-house and external training so that the highest standards of engineering excellence are achieved.

We understand the need for service standards and place equal importance on the requirement for us to achieve and maintain the highest level of customer care.  We strive to improve the service we provide with regular staff training and development.  In recognition of the success of our commitment we have been awarded the Investor in People standard.

WRc Accredited

In July 2008 Auger became only the third company in the UK to be WRc accredited for drainage investigation and repair services.  The WRc group has long been the authoritative body when it comes to policy and regulation of waste water and drainage systems in the UK.  As one of the fastest growing drainage companies in the country, achieving the award not only helps push Auger to the forefront of the industry but will enable us to move forwards and expand in the future.  The award demonstrates that we meet the stringent requirements set up in The Drain Repair book (the standard created by UK insurers) across our business nationwide.

Technical Support

We make use of all the latest electronic advances, including digital photographs, digital pen and paper technology and Autocad drawings within our report, which can be emailed directly to all our customers.  All of our projects are electronically tracked using our computerised administration system, enabling us to manage each job effectively and allowing our clients to check reports, survey results and CCTV footage via our website.  Our system is randomly audited. In addition customer and client questionnaires are compiled so that we continue to improve our service.
